Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday launched a fresh offensive against BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao and working president KT Rama Rao, accusing them of attempting to grab valuable government lands and warning that his government would not allow public properties to be taken over.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Revanth alleged that KCR, his family members and associates had attempted to acquire prime government properties during the previous BRS regime. He also levelled allegations against KTR over disputed land transactions in Manchirevula and other locations.

The chief minister's attack followed the Supreme Court verdict upholding the Telangana government's ownership of more than 550 acres of disputed land in Miyapur, Hyderabad. The property is estimated to be worth around Rs 50,000 crore.

Claiming that his government had protected public lands worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore in the past three years, Revanth cited several legal battles involving Miyapur, Kancha Gachibowli, Mamidipally and Manchirevula.

He challenged KCR and KTR to attend the Assembly and participate in an open debate on the land disputes.

Revanth said the government was examining the possibility of monetising valuable land assets and using the proceeds for education, irrigation, healthcare and other development programmes. The allegations against the BRS leaders remain contested.
