The TDP-led NDA has made significant gains in Kadapa district, a traditional stronghold of YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, strengthening its claim to a wider rural presence. According to reported local-body election results, the alliance secured 23 of the district's 39 ZPTC seats unopposed. In Pulivendula, NDA candidates reportedly won 64 of 65 MPTC seats without a contest.
The results pose a challenge to the YSRCP's local network. However, the party has alleged that opposition candidates faced intimidation and obstacles during the nomination process. These claims have not been independently established here. The unopposed victories indicate organisational gains for the alliance but do not, by themselves, measure voter support.
