₹4.5 lakh job promise ends in alleged assault; civic employee arrested

A promise of a government job allegedly turned into a nightmare for a 30-year-old woman who paid ₹4.5 lakh to a municipal employee. Ghatkesar police said the accused allegedly took her to a resort at Aushapur on October 26, claiming a senior official would meet her there. Instead, he allegedly sexually assaulted her and later pushed her out of his car on the Warangal highway before fleeing. The woman approached the police, who registered cases of rape and cheating. The 50-year-old employee was arrested on October 27 and remanded to judicial custody. Investigators are examining the allegations and how the accused allegedly used the promise of employment to gain the woman’s trust.
